My Testimonial

I am beyond grateful to have received a John W. Rohe Academic Scholarship and would like to express my most sincere gratitude. This semester I have the great opportunity of studying abroad in Luxembourg. As great of an experience as this is, studying abroad has come with additional financial stresses. This amazing scholarship has opened up new opportunities to expand my study abroad. As a student studying history, I will use this scholarship to visit museums and pay for textbooks that will accompany my studies. Sigma Chi has been extremely impactful on my life and has shaped me through value based brotherhood and lifelong friendship. The reason I decided to join Sigma Chi was seeing how actives valued learning and were men of high ambition. Being surrounded with men who have noble goals and support one another is truly unique to this fraternity. In fact, the reason I am studying abroad is because a older brother who I respected in the fraternity pulled me aside one day and highly encourage me to explore foreign education because of the lessons he had learned while studying abroad. Again, I am so grateful for this award and feel as if I have finally been recognized for years of hard work and dedication.
