Worthy brothers and associates,

I would like to thank you for the opportunity to receive the John M. Shepherd Academic Scholarship. Throughout my time as a Sig, I have devoted my energy into developing younger brothers, the chapter, and fraternity as a whole. I have had the honor of serving as Consul of my chapter, and have been given the ability to attend both KTLW and Horizons. Sigma Chi has been a life changing experience for me, helping develop my career, friendships, relationships, and life as a whole. I am grateful to be a part of such a beautiful organization, I was always told you will get out what you put in, and that statement could not ring any truer. As I graduate soon, I look forward to continuing my journey as a lifelong Sig and giving back as an alumni. As for these scholarship funds, I plan on traveling abroad in Europe which this scholarship will help fund. I am excited to share my Sigma Chi experience and represent our fraternity and outstanding character to those I meet abroad.
