I am very honored to be one of the students able to receive an award from the Sigma Chi Scholarship Foundation. I was awarded the Quimby Academic Scholarship. This scholarship is going to have an amazing impact on my education. I was working all summer to save up money for school so I did not have to take any more loans. I am very happy to say that this award is a huge help for me not needing to take any loans next semester. After joining Sigma Chi my sophomore year I have seen myself change a lot. The values instilled in me through P4B have had a great effect on how I carry myself every day. Specifically, I have been practicing the value of high ambition throughout this year. I have set a lot of goals for myself resulting in a lot more motivation for school. I have big goals now and believe I can achieve them. I want to give a huge thank you to all the donors who make these scholarships possible year in and year out. Without you none of these awards are possible. I will be forever grateful for joining this Fraternity and look forward to the day that I can be a donor and give back to a young Sigma Chi.
