My Testimonial

Dear Sigma Chi Foundation,

I would like to express my deepest gratitude for being selected as the recipient of the Founder Isaac M. Jordan Academic Scholarship, in memory of John Thumel, NORTHWESTERN 2015. This phenomenal honor not only alleviates the financial barrier that college poses for me but also motivates me to continue excelling in my academics, in my career, and as a leader.

For the past two and a half years, my chapter and the Fraternity at large have supported me through their strong guidance, helped in my development as a man and a leader, and imparted lifelong lessons that I have experienced only through being a Sigma Chi. To now receive not only that support but also financial assistance from the brothers and other donors who have generously contributed to making scholarships like this possible is an indescribable feeling. I am committed to making full use of this award to exceed my academic goals and create positive change on campus and in my community.

I am also honored to receive an award named after Founder Jordan, a key figure in our Fraternity's history, and Brother John Thumel. After reading his story, he has become an inspiration for me both in my career and as a Sigma Chi. I hope that through my actions, I can carry on the values he stood for and honor his memory.

Once again, thank you deeply for the honor of this scholarship. I hope that one day I too can contribute to supporting scholarships for future brothers.
